Irish musician Mark Sheehan is dead. The co-founder and guitarist of pop-rock band The Script has died aged just 46. The band announced this in a short statement on the official Instagram page. The post states that Sheehan passed away in a hospital on Friday after a short illness. Nothing is known about the exact circumstances of death. Sheeran already missed the US tour in 2022. Singer and frontman Danny O’Donoghue (42) spoke in the “Sunday World” at the time that his colleague could not be there for family reasons.

O’Donoghue and Sheehan formed the band together in Dublin. In their native Ireland, all six albums released to date have reached number one in the charts. At least five of their studio works succeeded in Great Britain. The biggest hit by The Script so far is undoubtedly the song “Hall of Fame” from 2012. The collaboration with the American rapper will.i.am (48) also made it to number one in the single charts in Germany and was the Title song from Til Schweiger’s hit movie “Kokowääh 2”.
