Thiruvananthapuram: On the occasion of the festival, BJP went to the homes of the Muslim community. There will be no extensive visits by leaders and workers. Instead, the leaders say that they will continue to try to include the marginalized and the weak in the Muslim community and bring the welfare schemes of the Modi government to them.
The BJP believes that through Easter visits to Christian homes and churches, it has been able to make an impact on that community. I don’t think that such a progress can be achieved through a festive visit. It is reported that during the channel discussions, there should be no big publicity for the festival visit.
In the meeting of the National Executive Committee held in Hyderabad, the demand to keep the religious minorities along was strong. Then it was decided to visit the homes of Christians and Muslims.
Activists or leaders may visit Muslim homes in isolated areas as an attempt to strengthen ties. However, the current understanding is that the visit in the name of the party should not be given much importance. Discussions have been held at various levels with the organizations of the Muslim community. There is also a large community of supporters of Modi in Kerala’s Muslim community. It is trying to strengthen the relationship with them and keep the marginalized people with them. However, home visits will not be as widespread as those made to Christian homes.
