This Friday (14), São Paulo was beaten by Atlético-MG, by 1 to 0, for the seventh round of the Brazilian Women’s Championship, at Castor Cifuentes Stadium, in Nova Lima (MG).
To seek three more points in the sequence, coach Thiago Viana selected the team with Carlinha; L. Alves, Pardal, Mimi and Dani; Maressa, Vivian and Micaelly; Naná, Rafa Travalão and Dudinha.
With a good start to the game, Tricolor was close to scoring in good chances created mainly with Micaelly and Dudinha, but stopped in the hands of the opposing goalkeeper.
The home team’s goal came out in the first stage, in the 37th minute, and forced the São Paulo team to look for the result even more after the break. Despite several opportunities to tie the match, the team failed to score and suffered its first defeat in the Brasileirão.
Now, Viana’s team returns to the field on Sunday (23), to face Santos, at 11 am, at CFA Laudo Natel.
