At the Presidency: The Head of State receives the CEO of the Bravia Group

The President of the Republic, Head of State HE Mohamed Bazoum granted an audience on Friday to the President and CEO of the Bravia Group Mr. Prakash Lalchandani and Promoter of the renovation and extension project of the Gaweye hotel in Niamey. The audience took place in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts Mr. Mohamed Hamid and officials of the said Ministry.
When they left the audience, the spokesperson for the delegation, the Director of the Nigerien Agency for the Promotion of Private Individuals and Strategic Projects (ANPIPS) Mr. Nouhou Insa explained that the subject of the exchanges with the head of the State concerns the renovation project and the extension of the Gaweye hotel.
He said that they are there to report on the progress of the process of the renovation and extension project of the Hotel Gaweye. “It’s a process that has taken all its time, but it has just been completed. The contract will be signed today in the afternoon. This hotel has always been big, beautiful and luxurious and it will continue to be thanks to this project,” he added.
“It will be well renovated with its two hundred (200) standard rooms, its eight (8) presidential suites. This project also provides for the development of a two-hectare space on the river side of the convention center towards the kombo district. This development will concern the creation of an amusement park for children, and that of a large boat on the river with a restaurant inside,” he confided. Work will begin soon and will last 24 months.
