Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The representative of the State of Law Coalition, Thaer al-Jubouri, confirmed, on Saturday, the intention of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani to attend the House of Representatives in order to discuss the budget law.
Al-Jubouri said, “Al-Sudani is determined to discuss the budget law with the Parliamentary Finance Committee, and there is a possibility for him to attend during the coming hours or tomorrow, Sunday, to the parliament building to discuss the draft law.”
He explained that “the House of Representatives, through its specialized parliamentary committees, continues to study and discuss the budget law, in order to prepare for the second reading of the budget law in the coming days. There is parliamentary insistence on expediting the legislation of the law due to its great importance.”
First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, announced the referral of the draft federal budget law to the Parliamentary Finance Committee.
