Why Lala 2.0 does not get involved in politics

by time news

Last days in the local social network segment “Lala 2.0” called bot is discussed. Technoblogger Farid Perdanasbot created by is adapted to the Azerbaijani language. However, his failure to answer questions correctly, and his refusal to answer some of their requests, caused the dissatisfaction of social network users.

The screenplay expert says that “Lala 2.0” misinforms most people because they confuse people with folk artists, singers or other well-known people due to their last name. It adds that it relies algorithmically on ChatGPT’s APIs (Application Programming Interface) and all data comes from ChatGPT’s logic.

“ChatGPT” is an artificial conversational chatbot that supports queries in different languages. The chatbot, launched in November last year, has attracted attention with its ability to simplify coding, create a website from an ordinary sketch, and pass exams with high scores.

“Some people write that “Lala” is not involved in politics, is a trollbot, or that Farid himself did not involve her in politics on purpose. No, simply “ChatGPT” does not allow him to express a political opinion or give an opinion about political figures. It’s all about ChatGPT, we just created a brand. We added some entries in Azerbaijani and gave it a more convenient user interface. “Lala” prepares answers based on our database. “It’s not just connected to ChatGPT, it just logically uses it.”– Perdashnost emphasizes.

Back in 2019, Azerbaijan ranked 69th in the global index on the use of artificial intelligence, and was considered a country where the technology is poorly spread.

Job opportunities are decreasing

Economists of the US investment bank “Goldman Sachs” recently said that the new wave of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which created platforms such as “ChatGPT”, can lead to the automation of up to 300 million jobs in the world. Economists write that if generative AI reaches its promised capabilities, the labor market could face serious disruption.

So, what jobs can AI replace in Azerbaijan? What is the share of artificial intelligence in the country’s labor market?

The one who said that IS is not developed enough in Azerbaijan Curtain specialist believes that unemployment is not expected in the country in the near future. He says that this technology is used in design and other fields in the country, but it is not widespread: “Using the help of Artificial Intelligence, the entrepreneur will hire two instead of five employees. The difference of Creative Artificial Intelligence is that it can create articles, photos, videos, music. It can even enter the human skin in digital form and clone the human voice. This is why most workplaces need technology. If in the last four years it was thought that artificial technology would make such specialties as teachers, doctors, and journalists unnecessary, now designers, journalists, social media specialists, and copywriters have been added to this list.

Is there a threat to the labor market?

Labor issues expert Vugar Ibrahimov he says that unemployment in the country’s labor market is already high enough and adds that it will be necessary to prevent this technology from increasing the number of unemployed. However, he emphasizes that he does not think that SI in Azerbaijan will soon develop and collapse the labor market: “For copywriters and designers in the current job market, AI can be relatively dangerous. However, since this intelligence is not fully developed, in the next five years there is a need for manpower in these works. For the future, a number of digitally savvy jobs, including social media professionals, are at risk. The only way to prevent this is to train specialists in artificial technology from now on.”

The expert also draws attention to the lack of legislation based on the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union). According to him, the wide distribution of this technology in the labor market can sometimes lead to abuse: “If there is no legislation on Artificial Intelligence, some employers may abuse it and dismiss people from work, or use Artificial Intelligence as an excuse and pay low wages. It is better to create this law now so that there are no problems later.”

Education

Independent education experts complain about the weakness of the teaching of artificial technology in institutions of higher education. Lived in Germany for seven years, graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering of the former Qafqaz University (now Baku Engineering University) Firudin Gurbanli also says that there is no state institution capable of managing Artificial Intelligence in Azerbaijan. Moreover, there are very few or no institutions to study in this direction, or specialists who will teach the basic information.

Gurbanli worked for some time in the field of technology in Azerbaijan and moved to Germany in 2016. “I worked in technology for a while, and since last year I have been studying for a master’s degree in the field of data science and artificial intelligence. There are many job opportunities here, I am still a student and I work “part-time”. In Azerbaijan, not only is it difficult to find a job, there is no educational institution, there is no state institution to manage it.”he said.

He studied “Information technologies”. Ruslan Yasinov and neither finds a profitable educational center to teach the field of Artificial Intelligence, nor a job opportunity where he can master the practice. Since he cannot go abroad, he pinned his hopes on possible changes in the labor market: “I understand that there is no need to specially train some Artificial Intelligence tools. For example, the “Midjourney” system creates a picture from keywords, which even schoolchildren can do. But there are other tools, if their basic information is taught, a potential workforce will be created that will be useful for any state enterprise.”

Internet Technologies specialist Vahid Gasimov In Azerbaijan, artificial intelligence is used in creative fields, marketing, private education sector, media, design and architecture, but it is not widespread: “Because 80 percent of the country’s economy is the oil sector, there is no need for it here. Most of the rest are government employees, who also sit and receive salaries. In this regard, there is no need for modernization in Azerbaijan. Let me give you an example: instead of buying machines to sweep the street, we employ women sweepers. That’s why there is no danger of someone losing their job.”

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence is a mathematical science and technology that aims to apply human logic to machines. It is also understood as the study of human intelligence. The term artificial intelligence was first used in 1956 during the Dartmouth Conference. Later, corporations and governments around the world began to invest in the development of Artificial Intelligence.

In 2021, private investments in Artificial Intelligence will double to 93.5 billion USD. Most investments were made in data processing and management, as well as in cloud technologies. The USA is the leader with 52.9 billion dollars in terms of investments. China ranked second with 17.2 billion US dollars.
