The new version of the Rules for the improvement of Narva, which came into force last summer, prohibits the use of parking lots with soft surfaces (gravel, sand and asphalt chips). The Narva Law Enforcement Service will monitor the situation and, if necessary, issue an order, failure to comply with which will result in a fine.

This is what Narvitians are reminded by Dmitry Dyakov, senior specialist of the Law Enforcement Service of the Department of Municipal Economy.
According to the specialist, it is important to know that such a fine (the so-called forced money) can be imposed an unlimited number of times – until the order is fulfilled.

Dyakov said that the previous Narva Improvement Order provided for a transitional period for the owners of such parking lots so that they equip them properly. The deadlines have passed, and now it is no longer possible to use parking lots with dusty, soft surfaces. Only hard surface is allowed – asphalt or tile.

The official also informed that after the snow melts, the Law Enforcement Service is prioritizing violations such as parking on green areas and sidewalks. “For control, we make detours every day, the places of violations are approximately known to us,” he said. Since the beginning of the year, as of the first ten days of April, 237 fines have already been issued for violation of parking rules – on lawns, sidewalks and in the area of prohibition signs.
