The importance of electoral debates

In Argentina, in 2019, after the enactment of Law No. 27,337, the first two mandatory presidential debates in the country were held. Organized around eight thematic axes, the six candidates for President of the Nation who exceeded the floor of 1.5% established in the Primary, Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory elections participated in the debates. The response from society was massive in terms of audience and organizations of all kinds that seek to strengthen democracies promote this type of initiative.
