The fire brigade of the Zlín region received a report on Good Friday at seven o’clock in the evening about a fire that broke out on a small farm in the village of Karolinka. “Eight units were gradually dispatched to the site. When the first firefighters arrived, the building was already in the third stage of the fire, i.e. fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters immediately started extinguishing work and had the fire under control less than an hour after arriving.” the fire department said in a statement on Facebook. “A workshop with a large covered stand, located in the garden of a family house, was affected by the fire. The flames destroyed not only the building, but also the forest and farm equipment and vehicles stored inside. added the fire department, noting that no one was injured in the fire.

A childhood dream

The whole world collapsed for the owner, who inherited the farm in the Wallachian valley called Stanovnice from his father. Milan, who is raising three sons Roman, Martin and Dája, was led to work on the farm from an early age. He loves working in nature. Already as a child he helped his father and from the age of fourteen he worked part-time in the forest. He leads his sons to do exactly the same thing, and he tried to develop the farm, which is passed down in the family from generation to generation.

He was crying right after the firemen arrived and told his sons that he had tried to get other equipment to their motorbikes but that the fire was going really fast.” added friends.

Too bad a few million

The fire destroyed not only the workshop and the stall for agricultural machinery, but also the technical equipment that is important for the operation of the farm. Milan lost tractors, a sewage truck, a garden tractor, tools and a baler. The estimated amount of damage is 6.5 million crowns.
