A photography exhibition opened in the Hungarian city of Solnok, highlighting the devastation left by the earthquake and the terrorist war on Syria. Supported by the West, as shown by the Syrian civilization, its ancient history, and the steadfastness of its people in the face of terrorism.

The exhibition was held in the city’s Abanovac Agora Cultural Center, jointly sponsored by the Syrian Embassy in Budapest and the Solnok city district.

In his speech during the opening of the exhibition, the city’s governor, Salai Varans, touched on the fraternal relations between Hungary and Syria, expressing his welcome to this important event that depicts the reality of life in Syria, stressing his country’s support for Syria in confronting the ordeal of the earthquake, and striving to send humanitarian aid to those affected by it.

For his part, the head of the Syrian diplomatic mission in Budapest, Ambassador Bashar Samara, praised the historical relations between Syria and Hungary, reviewing the effects of the terrorist war that Syria was exposed to over the past years, which came with unilateral sanctions and illegal coercive measures imposed by the United States and its Western allies.

Samara called for solidarity with the Syrian people by demanding the immediate lifting of all forms of sanctions, which deprived them of the most basic necessities of life and prevented aid from reaching them, especially after the disaster of the earthquake.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition prepared by a group of Syrian expatriates, Dr. Munther Al-Futimi, Muhammad Al-Dahan, and the engineers Abdul-Karim Daniel and Muhammad Ismail Ahmed, was held on the occasion of the celebration of the evacuation holidays, and included a documentary film on the effects of the earthquake.
