A 30-year-old was beaten and stabbed on Sunday in Brest (Finistère) as he tried to put an end to an urban rodeo.

Around 4:40 p.m., the man, a resident of the Bellevue district, went out into the street to ask the participants of a rodeo on two wheels to stop their noise pollution. But he was taken to task by about twenty young people, indicates The Telegram.

The 30-year-old man was then stabbed in the buttock, three according to BFM TV, and was beaten with baseball bats. Hospitalized, his vital prognosis is not engaged. The alleged attackers are on the run and an investigation has been opened.

The rodeos, observed mainly on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons, develop in a rather heterogeneous way on the whole of the territory according to a recent synthesis of the Ministry of the Interior. They mainly take place around large cities, in the Paris region and in the Lyon area above all, near certain large cities (Bordeaux, Toulouse, Nantes and Marseille in particular) and around a few medium-sized cities (Grenoble, Metz, Orléans and Brest). Almost everywhere, local residents’ associations are mobilizing in response to noise pollution and threats to road safety.
