A virtual master class given from the Chilean capital Santiago highlighted Morocco’s global leadership in promoting peace and security.
During this master class entitled “Morocco: the culture of peace and the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI”, the Ambassador of Morocco, Kenza El Ghali, highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting peace and security and the fight against all types of violence and terrorism, efforts that establish Morocco as a world leader in this field.

Since the enthronement of HM the King in 1999, the Kingdom has constantly consolidated its efforts to meet these challenges, aware of the responsibility incumbent on it in view of its geostrategic position and its international commitments.
In this sense, Morocco has established a clear and proactive policy to move forward in this direction, which encompasses other related themes, such as the development of the security sector, cybersecurity, education, promotion of religious middle ground, as well as migration policies, explained the diplomat.
The efforts of the Kingdom, she added, have also been centered on economic development which is essential for the maintenance of peace and security, efforts which have been extended within the framework of cooperation with the countries aimed at alleviating the insecurity in certain regions of the continent.
Security concerns are exacerbated by the challenge of separatist designs on the Kingdom’s borders, said the Moroccan diplomat, who also focused on Morocco’s efforts at the national and regional levels to promote orderly migration and humanitarian policies in matter.
And to note that Moroccan policy stands out, moreover, by the involvement of women in issues of peace and security, within the framework of a global approach to reducing the gaps between the sexes within the bodies competent.
The Moroccan ambassador also highlighted Morocco’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and peace in the Middle East, recalling the clear positions of HM the King who has raised the Palestinian issue to the same level of priority as the Moroccan Sahara.
This master class was given by the Ambassador of Morocco in coordination with the Catholic University of the North and the Mohammed VI Cultural Center for the Dialogue of Civilizations in Coquimbo (461 km north of Santiago).
