The Prime Minister, Head of Government HE. Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou arrived in Paris yesterday where he will take part in the Africa 2023 Forum to be held on April 18, 2023. To participate in this event organized by the French Council of Investors in Africa (CIAN) on the theme ”Business with Africa : the hour of the New Deal”, the Head of Government leads a strong multisectoral and multidisciplinary delegation of more than 24 members including members of the government, advisers to the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, officials of the Chamber of commerce, general managers of public structures.

More specifically, the Prime Minister, Head of Government is accompanied in this trip by Mr. Ibrahim Yacoubou, Minister of State, Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Alkache Alhada, Minister of Trade, Mrs. Salamatou Gourouza Magagi, Minister of Industry and Youth Entrepreneurship, Mr. Laouali Chaibou, Director of Cabinet of the Prime Minister and Mr. Amadou Alhaoury, Coordinator of the Agro-Industrial Poles Program at the Presidency of the Republic. The delegation also includes the Directors General of the National Agency for the Economy of Conferences (ANEC) Mr. Mohamed Saidil Moctar, and of the Niger Agency for the Promotion of Strategic Investments (ANPIPS) Mr. Nouhou Insa, presidents of the Chamber of Commerce, the Network of Chambers of Agriculture and the Association of Banks and Financial Institutions.

Today, the Head of Government is meeting investors and stakeholders in the conference economy as a prelude to this forum, which officially starts tomorrow, Tuesday.

The Head of Government is, in fact, entrusted by the President of the HE Republic. Mohamed Bazoum, following an official invitation from the CIAN, to take part in this great mass of investors and partners in Africa. The 2023 edition of the Africa Forum is being held in an international context marked by the effects of the multiple crises Covid 19, Ukrainian crisis, terrorism, climate change, etc. Despite these challenges, real opportunities are available to the African continent with the possibility of new alliances, the development of its raw materials, the development of agro-industrial sectors, technological innovations, Fintch, etc.

Despite all the international contingencies, Niger is participating in this Paris forum with a major argument, a convincing argument: its dynamic economic growth. And for good reason, it recorded an exceptional jump to reach double digits in 2022. This forum is therefore an opportunity for Niger to sell its merits in terms of growth and a good business climate to physical participants and those in line of this 2023 edition investors forum.
