Authorities from the State of Coahuila are part of an investigation folder for the disappearance of Sergio Borja Jr, a US citizen and son of Sergio Borja Castillo, former president of the National Action Party in Piedras Negras; which occurred during the night of last Saturday, April 15 of this year, on federal highway number 2, better known as La Ribereña and when it was heading to the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León.
Borja Castillo informed El Siglo de Torreón that he had already filed the corresponding disappearance complaint with the Coahuila State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), in addition to notifying the United States authorities of the disappearance of his sonsince his son has American nationality and in order to search and locate him.
“On Saturday at eight o’clock at night, 08:15 he left for Monterrey on the Ribereña highway, Piedars Negras -Nuevo Laredo. We can confirm it because he reported at that time, when he was leaving and we have the capture of the call ” , he indicated that he is also a municipal councilor and even said that his son had a video call with another family member until around 10:30 at night.
However, from that hour on, nothing was heard from him and his phone, although it rang, he no longer answered. Hence presumes that the disappearance of his son was between the Nuevo Laredo bypass or on the highway from Nuevo Laredo to Monterrey; the foregoing, considering the hours already mentioned; Therefore, it supposes that the checkpoint that is located in the guardarraya of Coahuila and Nuevo León had already passed.
Sergio Borja Castillo indicated that during the early hours of Sunday they received calls from Nuevo Laredo, which makes him assume that he is in that area and explained that he was going to Monterrey, because his family is there and it is a journey that he was taking in a to twice a week.
“Certainly, a bad decision to travel on that highway. He used to say: if I don’t owe anything, I don’t have to be afraid,” said the former PAN leader in Piedras Negras.
In addition to mentioning that his son Sergio Borja Jr. is 43 years old, is 1.78 meters tall, weighs 85 kilos, wears a beard, has short hair, wore a white polo shirt, black jean pants, with boots . He explained that he was traveling in a 2007 Charger car, blue with white stripes, which has not been located either.
He expressed confidence and they are praying that his son will appear soon. He indicated that his son worked both in the United States and in Piedras Negras since he is dedicated to buying and selling cars as well as working for a company that maintains water or oil storage tanks.
“And well, the disappearance report is already in the Coahuila State Prosecutor’s Office, making a parenthesis they have treated us very well, they have been very attentive, I have been informed of the progress of the integration of the investigation folder. The complaint has also already been made through the United States consulate in Laredo, from the Tamaulipas Prosecutor’s Office, the United States consulate is intervening, because my son is a US citizen,” said Borja Castillo.
