He was the cousin and right-hand man of Narciso Ruiz Sántiz, leader of the Association of Traditional Market Tenants of Chiapas, who control the markets and supply centers of this city. For its part, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), through the Altos District Attorney’s Office, reported that it had opened an investigation folder against the person or persons responsible for the crime of qualified homicide, committed to the detriment of Jerónimo ‘N’ , in events that occurred in the municipality of San Cristóbal de Las Casas. He explained that after his first investigations, armed subjects fired shots into the air in the north-eastern area of ​​the city and after that, agents of the Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with the Mexican Army, the National Guard (GN), state and municipal police of San Cristóbal de Las Casas implemented security and deterrent devices to control the situation and guarantee the tranquility of the population.
