Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the unity government, Naglaa Al-Mangoush, said that “our dealings with the issue of reunifying the Libyans and completing all important issues towards the transition to the stage of permanent stability is that it is a historical and national responsibility that we will not abandon.”
This came during her participation in the virtual meeting of the Peace and Security Council session of the African Union, which was held today via the Zoom platform at the level of foreign ministers, on national reconciliation in Libya.
Al-Mangoush expressed her confidence in the African role in Libya, and the understanding of the details and complexities of the national reconciliation file.
I participated in the meeting of the African Peace and Security Council at the ministerial level. To discuss the file of national reconciliation, and ways for the Council to support this vital path. Al-Mangoush said on Twitter, “I participated in the meeting of the African Peace and Security Council at the ministerial level, to discuss the file of national reconciliation, and ways to support the Council for this vital path.”
She added, “I referred to the efforts of the Presidency Council in this direction, and our government’s awareness of the challenges of the transitional period and the need for redoubled efforts to lead a comprehensive societal movement that achieves reconciliation.”
