Singer and actor Aaron Carter died on November 5 after “accidentally” drowning in his bathtub after inhaling a flammable gas present in compressed air canisters, the Los Angeles County Department of Forensic Medicine (California) revealed on Tuesday. .

The autopsy of the former brother of Nick Carter, a member of the Backstreet Boys, showed that, in addition to inhaling this chemical compound, called difluoroethane, he also ingested alprazolam, a sedative to treat disorders such as anxiety.

The autopsy report also revealed that Carter’s body (34 years old) did not show “life-threatening” trauma when it was found in the bathroom of his home located in the Californian city of Lancaster, in Los Angeles County.

Carter began as the opening act for his brother’s group when he was barely 10 years old, coming to publish a first album that bore his own name and was recognized as a gold record.

In the year 2000, Aaron Carter expanded his record production with “Come and Get It”, setting the foundations of his style, linked to electronic music and ‘dance’, with such an impact that it reached triple platinum status.

As an actor, he appeared in television formats such as “Lizzie McGuire” or “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”; other “reality” type programs like “Dancing With the Stars”; he starred in an unscripted family series titled “E! House of Carters”, and even appeared on Broadway with “Seussical the Musical”.

In addition, the image of Aaron Carter regularly appeared on heart programs due to different personal controversies in which he was involved and his fame as a conqueror.

Alcohol and marijuana had damaged her figure and she even lost custody of her son Prince and entered various rehabilitation centers to try to overcome her addiction.

This situation undermined his artistic legacy, which was reduced to such an extent that his latest album, “LØVË”, dates from 2018.

He also had family issues with Nick himself, who filed a restraining order against him in 2019 alleging that he had threatened to kill his pregnant wife and son.

After Aaron’s death, Nick uploaded a series of photos from when they were both children to his Instagram profile accompanied by a text that read: “(…) The truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real culprits from this”.

It is not the first tragedy for the Carters, as their sister Leslie died in 2012 from an overdose in New York when she was only 25 years old.
