Nerves are raw at the Ministry of Pre-University Education and Literacy. The decision of the head of the department, Guillaume Hawing to suspend the national director of school canteens goes badly.
She has been at the head of the National Directorate of School Canteens since 2015. The day after the coup of September 5, 2021, Saran Fadima Kaba was confirmed in her post by the CNRD. For a few weeks, the current has not passed between her and some of her subordinates. The latter accuse him of “cavalry management and a lack of results”. On April 6, in their memo to the Prime Minister, Bernard Goumou, they heavily charge Saran Fadima Kaba: financial embezzlement, embezzlement of foodstuffs, lack of reliable statistics, dissatisfaction with the dysfunctions that the person concerned maintains…the accusations are not lacking. According to the plaintiffs, Mrs. Saran would be suspicious of the heads of division. They also dispute the disparity between the meals served to the students and the expenses ”made”. Guillaume Hawing, Minister of Pre-university Education and Literacy did not hesitate, he suspended Saran Fadima Kaba for “gross negligence”. Foumba Touré, head of division of the national direction of school canteens is also suspended for the same reason.
This decision is far from unanimous within the department. Some executives of the same national school canteens department refuse to put all the dysfunctions on the head of the headmistress alone: ”We saw on social networks a document accusing Mrs. Saran Fadima Kaba of being the only one responsible for the failures of our service. These are defamatory accusations against the director.
These executives do not deny certain dysfunctions, but accuse two or three of their friends of wanting to manipulate the authorities: “They are motivated by personal ambitions and hidden objectives. They seek to tarnish the image of the director. Admittedly, no management is perfect, but it would be unfair to hold the director responsible for the consequences of the well-known dysfunctions of the administration”.
