‘Frozen’ tax bills as of May 31st. The Ministry of Economy and Finance announces that the regulatory provision is being defined which will postpone the deadline for the suspension of collection activities, now set at 30 April 2021. The Mef underlines that the suspension, introduced starting from 8 March 2020 from art. 68 of the Cura Italia decree-law, concerns all payments deriving from the payment notes, come on debit notices and by those of executive assessment, entrusted to the collection agent, as well as the sending of new folders and the possibility for the Agency to initiate precautionary or executive collection procedures, such as administrative stops, mortgages and foreclosures.


“Furthermore, the verifications of non-compliance that the public administrations and companies with prevalently public participation must carry out, pursuant to art. 48 bis of Presidential Decree 602/1973, are suspended before making payments for an amount exceeding five thousand euros” he states the Mef.
