E’ Federico Salvatore, Neapolitan singer-songwriter and cabaret artist, died. He was 63 years old. On 13 October 2021 he had been struck by a cerebral hemorrhage and, after hospitalization at the Ospedale del Mare in Naples, he had then embarked on a path of rehabilitation.
Federico Salvatore had achieved notoriety in the 90s with his songs on the borderline between music and cabaret, “Azz…” the most famous, often peppered with cultured quotations and tributes to the city and the history of Naples. After making himself known to the general public on the Maurizio Costanzo Show, in 1996 he participated in the Sanremo Festival with the song ‘Sulla porta’.
His wife Flavia D’Alessio gave the news of his death. The funeral will be celebrated tomorrow, Thursday 20 April, at 12.30 in the Basilica of San Ciro in Portici (Naples).
