Starting her business at the age of 23, Palak Arora is not only providing employment to people, but has also become a support to the farmers growing millet. In the year 2020, when people were losing their jobs due to Kovid and keeping themselves healthy had become a big challenge, at that time food technologist Palak found a solution to two problems simultaneously and started her startup Satguru Superfood.

The Better India Talking to Palak, “At Satguru Superfoods, we sprout millets and pulses to make their ready-to-cook products, that too in a completely natural way. Our products are made preservative free and without any additives and have a shelf life of 3 months.

These ready-to-eat foods of Palak are prepared very easily. They have prepared many delicious products like Chila, Millet Methi Puri, Pulao, Beet Root Idli, full of health and taste, which you can cook in 10 minutes and eat quickly.

How did the idea of Satguru Superfood business come about?

Palak’s startup has not only provided farmers with the right location and price for their crops, but has also provided direct employment to 7 people. Apart from this, many other people associated with transportation and supply chain have also got work through this.

He told, “At the time of lockdown in the year 2020, when all the people were losing their jobs and there was a lot of problem of jobs in the market, at that time I thought that something should be done and people should be provided jobs. For this, I prepared such a healthy food, which is very easily made in 10 minutes.

Palak further added, “I source all the millets available from my local farmers, so that the farmers around me stay connected with me and are more encouraged to grow millets. With this, our environment will be perfect and at the same time our customers will also be healthy.

How are these products prepared?

Palak explains, “At Satguru Superfoods, to make ready-to-cook products, millets are washed as soon as they arrive at our facility, cleaned, soaked and then sprouted at a controlled temperature. After this, they are then dried in solar driers and their recipe formulation is prepared to prepare a ready-to-cook product.

It takes 7 to 10 days to do this whole process naturally and to make one pack, because the grains have some time to soak first, then their sprouting takes 3 to 4 days and then it has time to solar dry And from there it takes 7 to 10 days from recipe formulation to packaging.

In the end, Palak says, “I would like to tell the public that you must include millets in your diet and stay healthy, but keep in mind that you have to eat millets in the right way. You have to soak it well and if you sprout it, it is very good for your body, as well as it can keep you healthy.

At such a young age, Palak, who is running the Satguru Superfood business with such a big vision, is not only promoting our traditional cereals, but has also become an inspiration for the youth.
