The social network would have deliberately participated in the campaign of harassment that she denounces. Influencer agent Magali Berdah filed a complaint on Tuesday against Twitter and against X for “complicity in aggravated moral harassment”, announces franceinfo this Thursday.

This complaint was filed in the context of the case between him and rapper Booba. For months, Shauna Events, Magali Berdah’s agency, has been lambasted for promoting shoddy products at multiple times their real prices with its armada of social media starlets. Dubious practices denounced by the rapper Booba who used his notoriety to attack, on Twitter, those he renamed “influencers”. The rapper even filed a complaint, leading to the opening of an investigation for deceptive commercial practices.

According to Magali Berdah’s complaint, filed on Tuesday, “on May 17, 2022, Elie Yaffa, rapper known as Booba, engaged in a cyberbullying campaign” against him “via his Twitter account”. And Twitter is “perfectly informed of the fact that their digital platform is deliberately and daily used by” Booba to implement this “campaign”, denounces the popess of influencers in a press release.

“It’s a stomach ache every morning and every evening”

The boss of Shauna Events believes that “the Twitter companies intentionally continued to provide Mr. Yaffa with their services, refusing to suspend his Twitter account despite the steps taken in this direction and the multiple reports sent”. In fact, she believes, still according to her complaint, “the Twitter companies have been complicit in the aggravated moral harassment of which Mrs. Berdah has been the victim since May 17, 2022”.

“It’s anxiety, it’s a stomach ache every morning and every evening, these are messages of calls for death, calls for beheading, calls for rape…”, confides Magali Berdah this Thursday morning at Franceinfo. According to her, details about her private life, such as the address of her children’s school have even been revealed: “We have had more than 120,000 (harassing messages) for a year. »

Several investigations have been opened. According to Magali Berdah and her lawyers, 23 people have been arrested to date, 18 summoned before the criminal court. But that would not prevent Booba from continuing “to publish, from Miami, tweets inciting hatred against Madame Berdah”.

“No action has been taken by Twitter to put an end to the violence I suffered. This complaint, I am not filing it only in my name, but in the name of all those who are victims of online hatred on a daily basis, claims Magali Berdah. Far from being virtual, cyberviolence has very real consequences, which can be dramatic. It destroyed my life, and I see no end to it. I feel like if I don’t die, it won’t end. Twitter must take responsibility. »
