The first outpost of the Russian delegation arrived this Wednesday for what will be their performance at the V Alba Games. At least 36 athletes landed at the Simón Bolívar international airport in Maiquetía.
As has become common, our tricolor and music have given a warm welcome to each of the competitors.
“We are very happy to be here, in Venezuela. The welcome is very warm, as is the Caribbean and we are very, very grateful for this welcome”, said the deputy minister of high performance Alexei Morozov.
It is expected that on April 22, the rest of the athletes with Russian nationality will arrive for what will be their second appearance in the fair.
Caracas, Miranda and La Guaira will serve as scenarios for the different disciplines that will be developed in the national territory.
