In the portal in which the FBI publishes the files of kidnapped and disappeared persons, there are seven cases of disappeared persons in Mexico in which rewards are offered to locate them.
Joshua Keshaba Sierra Garcia
The first case is that of Joshua Keshaba Sierra García, who was kidnapped on August 12, 2003 in Mexico City, when he was just over a year old; on that occasion the kidnappers killed the baby’s caretaker, a 15-year-old teenager, and although the kidnappers were arrested by Mexican authorities while trying to collect the ransom, Garcia, who would be 21 today, remains missing.
Rishpy Dana
On the night of March 30, 2007, Dana Rishpy, a young woman then 24 years old and an Israeli and German citizen, was last seen in a hotel in Tulum, Quintana Roo.
Jesus Eduardo Paez Lopez
Jesús Eduardo Páez López, who today would be 34 years old, was deprived of his liberty at dawn on January 4, 2020, when a group of armed individuals broke into his home, located in the town of El Roble, in Sinaloa.
Armando Diaz
Armando Díaz disappeared on February 20, 2021 in Guadalajara, when he was 35 years old; US authorities suspect that he was illegally deprived of his liberty.
Luis Davila
On March 29, 2021, Luis Dávila, who was 31 years old at the time and had traveled by car to Monterrey to visit his girlfriend, disappeared near Monterrey, Nuevo León; the FBI assumes that he was kidnapped and could be near Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
Monica Leon Barba and Maria del Carmen Lopez
The most recent cases are that of Mónica León Barba, who disappeared in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, on November 29, 2022, and that of María del Carmen López, who disappeared from her home in Villa de Álvarez, Colima, on February 9, 2023.
