The platforms signed, this Thursday, an agreement in France with the representative bodies of independent two-wheeled delivery people to guarantee them a minimum hourly income set at 11.75 euros, according to a press release from the National Federation of Autoentrepreneurs and Microentrepreneurs (FNAE). ). This is a great first in this sector.
An unprecedented agreement had already been sealed in January on the VTC side. The representative bodies of the drivers had then signed an agreement with the platforms to establish a minimum income per race – and not hourly – in the amount of 7.65 euros, “regardless of the application they use”. A change that also affected independent deliverers.
Minimum fare increase
Result, the minimum price of the race was raised to 10.20 euros on February 1, an increase of 27% – the price so far being 8 euros.
The unions that were not signatories to the agreement believed that this new minimum rate would change “nothing in the daily activity” of the drivers. They also asked for the opening of negotiations on the establishment of a rate per hour and per kilometer in order to “guarantee real profitability in the sector”.
