MARO was one of the most recent artists to participate in the famous Tiny Desk Concerts, a series of videos that record small musical performances in the space where the program “All Songs Considered” is recorded, on NPR, public radio in the United States, in Washington DC.
On Instagram, the Portuguese artist published photos of the space where she performed, along with musicians Pau Figueres and Darío Barroso. With the publication date of his small performance still to be announced, MARO joins names like U2, Robert Plant, Sting, Laurie Anderson, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Wu-Tang Clan, Belle & Sebastian or Alicia Keys, some of the big names who have starred in the videos that NPR has been producing since 2008.
MARO gave two concerts this week in the United States, in Washington DC and New York, having in the meantime arrived in Brazil, where he will perform in Brasília, São Paulo, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro. Then he returns to the Iberian Peninsula for concerts in May and June, in Portugal and Spain. He will present “mint”, his most recent album.
