Users in new regions of Russia have encountered various problems in the operation of the YouTube service. Three employees of various regional operators told Vedomosti that videos on the service do not start playing until they are fully loaded. In the DPR, problems with YouTube began in mid-April 2023, while in the LPR the problem is permanent, said Dmitry Galushko, a representative of the operator and CEO of the consulting company Ordercom.
Information about problems with YouTube in the LNR was confirmed to Vedomosti by a representative of a local operator in the republic. There are problems with the operation of the video service in the region: buttons are not displayed, playback quality deteriorates significantly in the evening (to a low resolution of 144p).
