More than 800 train drivers take the tests to join the Renfe staff |

814 train drivers will take the Renfe entrance exams for the 2023 Public Employment Offer (OPE), which will allow 450 new train drivers to join the company.

Of the total number of vacancies, 299 are for state-wide traffic service boards, with a geographical location to be determined by the company based on existing needs; 130 correspond to the same table in the area of ​​Catalonia, the Basque Country, Miranda de Ebro and Zaragoza, and 21 for cross-border traffic services with France.

The selective tests, which are face-to-face, will be carried out simultaneously at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid, located on the Somosaguas Campus; and at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​in Bellaterra.

The exam consists of a theoretical-professional test and a psychotechnical test. Of the total number of applicants to be part of the Renfe workforce, 99 are women (12.1%).

As a whole, Renfe’s job offers announced for this year will allow the incorporation of 1,250 workers to its workforce: 500 new entry commercial operators, 450 entry machinists and 300 manufacturing and maintenance entry operators.

All jobs included in the OPE will have as a reference the working and remuneration conditions established in the Renfe Group collective agreement.
