Five of the six pumps affected by interruptions in the supply of electricity are already operating normally, reported Raymundo Rodríguez de la Torre, technical manager of the Torreón Municipal Water and Sanitation System (Simas).
The operating agency stopped the pumps to prevent damage to the equipment due to constant electrical failures.
Pumps 82, 33, 24R, 60 and 51 are already working, consequently the service is fully restored in colonies such as Nueva California, San Felipe and Las Torres.
The official pointed out that paramunicipal personnel continue to work on the repair of the 7R pump that presented a mechanical failure and said that the maneuvers are being carried out to change the body of impellers.
