The building materials manufacturer has invested HUF 16 billion in a new plant for the production of reinforced concrete parts in Alsónémedi. 120 jobs will be created there by August, and the state has granted HUF 2.4 billion in grants.

At the handover on Thursday, Foreign Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó emphasized the difficult circumstances surrounding this major investment. While greenfield investments in the EU fell by 15% in 2022, Hungary received EUR 6.5 billion in foreign investment (FDI), an all-time high. The minister explained this with the political stability of the country, the friendly investment environment and the low tax burden. Investment is the key to growth, without investment there would be mass unemployment.

In the global competition for investors, “some governments are not choosy about their resources.” For a long time now, everything has no longer revolved around the grants granted, and investors are now unsure whether the chosen location is actually right for them. “The unbroken confidence of investors in Hungary is all the more to be welcomed!” – Szijjártó stated. Based on the data from the first three months, he can already claim today that the investment record will be broken again in 2023.
