With the generous support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the Project for Providing Emergency Reproductive Health Services for the Most Vulnerable Women and Girls in Yemen continued to provide medical services to beneficiaries in Abyan Governorate, in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund.
And benefited from the reproductive health sector during the period from July 2022 AD to March 2023 AD (32,739 women) in Al-Razi Hospital in the Khanfar district and the Zanzibar Reproductive Care Center (motherhood and childhood) in the Zanzibar district in Abyan Governorate.
The project aims to facilitate access to life-saving emergency obstetric care services by purchasing the required medical equipment and supplies, providing medicines, and providing incentives to health workers in health centers in Abyan governorate. Approximately 12,000 cases benefit from the project annually, with the aim of saving women during childbirth in the regions. remote rural areas in Yemen, which is of great importance in sparing them the risks and complications of childbirth.
This comes within the framework of the efforts made by the Kingdom, represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, to support the Yemeni medical sector and provide basic supplies for hospitals and health facilities.
