Heading to the Caribbean! On Saturday, sailor Loïck Perron and his crew won the overall multihull classification during the 12th edition of the Sain-Barth Richard Mille Sails. Author of a near faultless performance, the French crew, including 3 other former participants in the America’s Cup, including the only French sailor to have won the Cup, Thierry Fouchier, only missed one sleeve.

The event has been taking place since April 17 around the island of Saint-Barthélemy and welcomed nearly 45 boats and 600 sailors for several regattas. A dozen nationalities were represented with very great sailors and high-performance boats, such as Gun Boats.

“On the water, aboard Zoulou, we lacked a bit of competition, reacted Loïc Perron. It must be admitted, even if some catamarans have defended themselves very well. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun being on the water and exploiting 100% of the boat’s potential. »

On board Perron’s multihull was ex-swimmer and world champion Camille Lacourt, sponsor of the event and guest for the occasion. The five-time world champion took the opportunity to meet the young swimmers of the island’s swimming club.
