Kothamangalam MA College continues to advance in the boys and girls section of the MG University Athletic Meet to be held at the Pala Municipal Synthetic Track Stadium. MA jumped 132 points in the boys’ category. Changanassery SB College is in the second position with 71 points and Kanjirapally St. Dominic’s College is in the third position with 39.5 points. St. Thomas College, Pala (28) and St. Peter’s College, Kolencherry (20) are in the next position.
In the girls category, MA College scored 107 points. Changanassery Assumption College is in the second position with 92 points and Pala Alphonsa College is in the third position with 76 points. Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam (20) and St. Peter’s College, Kolancherry (19) are in the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
On the second day, three meet records were set. In the girls ‘pole vault, Nivya Antony of Pala Alphonsa College set the record in the 800m, C Chandni of Kothamangalam MA College and K Anand Krishna of Kothamangalam MA College set the record in the boys’ 5000m.
