Dhaka | Indian athletes continue to make strides in Asian Champions Trophy hockey after winning bronze at the Tokyo Olympics. India beat arch-rivals Pakistan by three goals to one to advance to the semi-finals.

Harmanpreet Singh, who converted both of India’s penalty corners, was instrumental in the victory. Harman Preet scored in the 13th and 54th minutes of the first and fourth quarters. Akashdeep Singh scored India’s third goal in the 42nd minute.

Junaid Mansoor scored the consolation goal for Pakistan with just 27 seconds left in the third quarter.

Goalkeeper Suraj Karkera, who blocked two penalty corners for Pakistan in the last quarter, was also instrumental in India’s victory.
