Clashes in Petare leave six dead

Members of the Wilexis and Los Chicorrios gangs were involved in the confrontations.

Several clashes between gangs took place this Saturday night and early Sunday morning in the José Félix Ribas de Petare neighborhood, in Caracas. As reported by Roman Camacho on his Twitter account, the incident would have left at least six dead.

He also indicated that members of the Wilexis and Los Chicorrios band who disputed control of the territory. The antisocials transferred the wounded to hospitals. They used taxi drivers from the area who were intercepted and threatened with death to take them to the assistance centers in El Llanito and Petare.

Camacho explained that four of the six dead are: Luis Ángel Martínez (21); Vegas German volcano (26); Eduar Pérez (27) and a 16-year-old boy. The other 2 did not have an identity document.

Faced with this situation, the community of petare urged the authorities to act against these gangs because they keep their inhabitants in distress and expose them to serious risk due to the constant clashes armed who register.

Sucre police carried out verifications in the hospital centers. It is presumed that there are many more dead from the clashes. Commissions of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigation Corps waited for Sunday morning to be able to enter the sector and locate the other bodies.
