Omigron to Changi Airport staff

The Ministry of Health said yesterday that preliminary tests have revealed that another Singaporean has been infected with the Omigron Kovid-19 virus at the community level.

The victim was an employee working at the third terminal of Changi Airport. The ministry said he was not in contact with passengers.

It is noteworthy that the 42-year-old man was fully vaccinated. He had a fever on the 8th of this month.

After consulting a private doctor, he was diagnosed with Kovit-19 infection. He was subsequently placed on a home recovery plan.

After that, it was discovered that he was in close contact with someone who was infected with the Omigran virus. Preliminary results showed that he had been infected with the Omigron virus in a subsequent re-examination.

The victim was reported to have only mild symptoms and is currently being treated in a separate room at the National Anti-Disease Center.

So far, 24 people in Singapore have been confirmed to be infected with the Omigron Covit-19 virus. 21 of them came to Singapore from abroad. The remaining three have been socially affected.

“Omigron is a highly contagious virus. It has spread to many countries. Therefore, many more people across our borders and at the community level could be infected with the Omkran virus, ”the health ministry said.

As of yesterday, 355 more people in Singapore had been infected with the Covit-19 virus and two more had died of the disease.

So far 808 people have died in Singapore due to Kovit-19.

The total number of people infected with the Covid-19 virus is 274,972
