“These instances are spaces for inter-institutional coordination between executive authorities, departmental governments, mayors and other state organizations to plan and execute strategies.”, Mingob representatives reported.
For now, the departments of Retalhuleu, Jutiapa, Santa Rosa, Sacatepéquez, Zacapa and Izabal have been reached. In them, we worked on the identification of the main crime problemselaboration of action plans and assignment of responsibilities to the different institutions, with the purpose of carrying out the measures.
“The participation of the vice minister has been essential to promote these initiatives and achieve greater coordination and effectiveness in the fight against crime and violence in the republic. It was reiterated that these spaces are carried out in accordance with the inter-institutional roundtables for electoral securitywhich are part of the Integrated Strategic Action Plan within the Framework of the 2023 General Electionswhich promote the portfolio of the Interior, the Army and the Public Ministry, with the support of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal.
