The news of a mother covering her son even though he was stabbed by a weapon was transmitted.
According to the Seoul Eunpyeong Police Station and Eunpyeong Fire Station on the 24th, the son who stabbed and injured his mother with a weapon was arrested by the police. The son in his 30s brandished a weapon and fled from his home in Galhyeon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul at around 7:20 pm on the 21st at his mother in her 60s.
The mother, who was stabbed by her son, called 119 instead of 112, only repeating that she was “injured.” She could not explain the cause of her injuries when asked by firefighters. It is said that he said to the paramedics who were dispatched to the hospital, “I fell alone and got hurt.”
However, an investigation was conducted when a hospital official examined the wound and reported it to the police saying, “It appears to have been stabbed by a weapon.” The son, who had fled by car immediately after the crime, was caught by the police while staying at an acquaintance’s house in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The police applied for an arrest warrant for the son in his 30s on charges of attempted murder.
The son testified during the police investigation that he committed the crime because he was angry at his mother’s nagging to “clean the house,” but is now reversing his statement.
A police official said, “The son made a different statement than the first time, so further investigation is needed.” However, it was not revealed what the son’s new statement was.
