Police identified the second suspect involved in the assault that killed Alair Barbosain Copacabana, south zone of Rio.
According to information from Record TVafter analyzing security cameras in the region, the agents of the DHC (Delegation of Homicide of the Capital) saw that there was one more person in the action and questioned the minor apprehended on Wednesday (19), who handed over the accomplice.
There is no word yet on the suspect’s age.
Last Wednesday, a teenager was apprehended for having participated in the crime. He had been arrested on Sunday (16), after being immobilized by people and taken to the 12th DP (Copacabana), but was released for lack of evidence.
However, after analyzing the case, the Homicide Division requested the apprehension of the teenager, which was authorized by the Justice. The suspect was found in Pavuna, in the north zone, and must answer for a fact analogous to the crime of robbery (robbery followed by death).
According to information obtained by the Record TVthe minor has six criminal notes and had already been apprehended in the case of assault and assault on two tourists from Slovakiain 2022, also in Copacabana.
The police also informed that the investigation into the death of the elderly woman continues to determine the participation of other people in the crime.
