According to a recent poll by the Associated Press, his popularity rating remains against all odds at 34% support in the American electorate and 68% among Republicans.

In the absence of a serious competitor, Trump is currently in a position to win the Republican primary, and the United States to experience an unprecedented ballot between an outgoing president and his predecessor.
