The 34-year-old actress who grew up in the theater plays Lea in the second season of the fiction Sky. Which brought her, among her many proposals, also her first film as a protagonist
While filming the first season of «Call my agent», Sara Drago didn’t know well the mechanisms she staged, playing one of the entertainment agents most influential in Italy. “Now I’m on the set of the second season and I can say that I know how this world works, I have accumulated experience». Before being cast in the Sky series that takes you behind the scenes of the entertainment world, the 34-year-old actress had dedicated herself to the theatre. Now, her attention to her has multiplied as have her commitments: «I have not left my troupe, but in the meantime many proposals are arriving». In addition to the second edition of «Call my agent», is also shooting the new di « But Tataranni» and concluded his first starring movie (“Family History” by Laura Angiulli). «It is a change that I am still metabolizing: my life has turned. Before, I also taught theater… and I didn’t imagine all this».
At the audition for the Sky title she arrived «with all my fears as a theater actress… what does it mean… now even in the theater you can’t play trombones: you have to bring a human being on stage. But, in fact, she was mine first experience in the audiovisual”. To prepare to play her Lea, a lesbian woman, «as I walked down the street I focused my attention on women, thinking about what it would be like to relate, imagining I could fall in love with one of them. That said, I played not “a lesbian woman” but a person». And yet, she confesses, having represented such a character away from stereotypes it gave her a lot of satisfaction: «Many women wrote to me who finally felt told far from the stereotype or from the speck. I really appreciate it”.
In her first experience, she found herself acting alongside showbiz giants: «There was so much to learn. Favino was very funny: while we were filming our episode everyone was laughing, and my wife Anna Ferzetti and I had to try to stay serious». With Accorsi he described the bulimia that can afflict all those actors inclined to accept everything job offer. «Here, I am Accorsi due to revenge. I always think I can fit any commitment. Another colleague of yours on the set of the Sky series? Paolo Sorrentino: «He was really loved and respected by everyone. Yet he, on the first round of testing, told us: guys, have a little patience, as you know I do other things in life. Fun and generous.”
