“To have some for my taxes”… The government consults the taxpayers

This Tuesday marks the start of a consultation with taxpayers. The objective: that “every Frenchman can say” how he wants the money from taxes to be spent by the State, said in mid-April the Minister Delegate for Public Accounts Gabriel Attal. “Idea feedback will be organized throughout the territory”, he added during a press conference organized in Paris on the occasion of the opening of the online income declaration service for 2022. testimonies collected will be used for the construction of the 2024 finance bill, assures the government.

The exercise will go through both online and face-to-face consultations with French people. “A great operation of transparency”

The consultation is part of an “unprecedented” operation by the Ministry of Public Accounts, entitled “En avoir pour mes taxes”. “The tax must encourage membership”, hammered Gabriel Attal.
