Unless there is a vital alert, there is no longer any need to go to the emergency room of the Occitanie clinic in Muret, south of Toulouse, on your own, after 11 p.m. The private establishment, one of the largest in Haute-Garonne for this activity, indicates that it “is forced to close its deep night emergencies (11 p.m. / 9 a.m.) temporarily”. Two emergency physicians out of the eight in office are indeed on sick leave. The remaining staff no longer allows the clinic to take care of patients “under maximum conditions of safety and quality”. This decision is “conjunctural and temporary” but the clinic, which had already had to close the service the night of April 24, does not give a date for a return to normal.
“From 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., a night paramedical team dedicated to the emergency department will remain on duty to support, in coordination with the 15th, the orientation of patients who would come to the clinic”, specifies the management, adding that ” if a life-threatening emergency were to arise at night, medical care would be provided by the establishment’s resuscitator”.
