In August 1988, the economist and auditor Joan Gironella launched in Figueres TAX. This year, the group specialized in advice and management of SMEs in the tax, labor, accounting and legal areas celebrates its 35th anniversary reaching 32 million euros in turnover in 2022.
From the year 1991, the company began the development of the company with the opening of new own offices. Given the good results that were obtained, in 1994 the policy of expansion was launched through the regime of associated offices. In 1995, TAX opened the first franchised offices in Catalonia and its expansion to the rest of the country began in 1996, creating the TAX Economists and Lawyers Group.
“It was immediately clear to me that to gain size it was necessary to have an extensive network of offices relying on local partners“, says Joan Gironella, founder and president of Grup TAX.
Currently, the group is made up of a group of 54 business advisors, 520 professionals including economists, social graduates, lawyers and auditors. In Barcelona, 65 professionals work in the Passeig de Gràcia offices and it has become a reference office.
“This 2023 is a year of growth for our Barcelona officeas we have reached an integration agreement with the consultancy GLOBAL CONSULTING BCN which will become part of the TAX group and as a result of this integration one of the largest consultancy offices in Barcelona and Catalonia will be born”, declares Baldiri Gironella, general manager of the TAX Group and second generation.
As detailed by the company, its objective is continue to grow through the integration and incorporation of new advisories into the group, either as an associated office or with integrations of portfolios of advisories in operation. Currently, the Group, with 100% national capital, is in full expansion and growth.
