The popular Veszprémer Festival takes place from May 7th to 14th and offers around 70 programs in 30 venues.
The Climax forms, as every year, the historical parade on Saturday, May 13th. The renovated castle district opens up to the city’s guests; a special exhibition shows moments of this comprehensive modernization. Painters and graphic artists present themselves on the streets of the city, poets and writers from twin towns read from their works. There will be light musical offerings at five locations, supplemented by an international gathering of brass bands. As the European Capital of Culture of the Year, Veszprém and Lake Balaton will also present colorful programs for children and families in the “Children’s Garden” as part of the Gisella Days.
