Overview
To this end, this report includes an analysis of the informal regional consultations in the African, Caribbean and North American regions, the European region, the Eastern Mediterranean region, Latin America and the Southeast Asian region, as well as three forums in the Western Pacific region.
The report analyzes the overall similarities, regional differences and priorities discussed in the six WHO regions for meaningful sharing of people’s lived experiences. The report summarizes the most important lessons learned from the identified priorities and implementation gaps
at the regional and national levels, which will help guide the joint development and implementation of the framework for the organization
This report is the second publication in the Resolve to Action series, a series of resources aimed at strengthening the limited evidence base on the impact of meaningful participation and addressing the lack of standardized approaches available on how to enable meaningful participation. The Resolve to Action Series aims to achieve this by providing a platform through which individuals with lived experiences and advocates from organizations and institutions can share solutions, challenges, and promising practices related to this comprehensive agenda. The Resolve to Action series also aims to provide impactful stories, inspirations and evidence for the fourth United Nations high-level meeting on noncommunicable diseases in 2025, and to achieve the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
