Priyadarshan says that Kalapani and Marakkar (Marakkar) on the big canvas look like experiments on him and Mohanlal. The film, which hits theaters on December 2, had its premiere on Amazon Prime Video yesterday. Priyadarshan said this in an interview to the Times of India. Priyadarshan says that Mohanlal took a big risk for the car.
“I can not imagine anyone other than Mohanlal making a picture on a big canvas. It’s our friendship beyond being an actor and a director. He inspired me to make this film. Since Malayalam is a relatively small industry, making a film of this size was not easy, and the digital boom was a no-brainer. Thanks to the growth of the scene, too, we had our own limitations, but Mohanlal took a big risk in trying out this film. We tried Kalapani exactly 25 years ago. Now it’s wood.
Priyadarshan’s response to a question about the challenge of giving screen space to actors of many languages in Marakkar was: “I naturally captured them on camera and gave them space to mark, which is what I learned from my 40 years of film career. I will pay attention to what needs to be approached. It’s like a choreography when making a film, “says Priyadarshan.
