Striker Brenner, former player of São Paulo, was announced this Wednesday afternoon as a new signing for Udinese, Italy. The athlete was at Cincinnati, an MLS (Major League Soccer) club in the USA, and signed a contract with the Italians until the end of June 2028.
The negotiation is very well liked by Tricolor, since the Morumbi team will receive a share of this sale. The values were not disclosed, however, according to information from the journalist Roger Gonzalezyes CBSUdinese disbursed around U$ 10 million (R$ 49 million reais) to acquire Brenner.
When São Paulo negotiated the young man with the United States team, in 2021, a clause was established in which Tricolor would be entitled to 20% of “additional value”. That is, the club would receive 20% of the surplus if a future sale exceeded U$ 13 million (about R$ 70 million), the price for which the team gave up the player at the time.
However, as Cincinnati set the sale at $10 million, there was no profit. This means that São Paulo will not invoice this amount.
The only profit that Tricolor will obtain from the negotiation will be related to the solidarity mechanism, which is delivered to the athlete’s training club. This means should yield, at most, 5% of the value of the sale to the São Paulo club – in this case, U$ 500 thousand (about R$ 2.5 million).
Brenner stood out with the shirt of São Paulo under the command of Fernando Diniz, in 2020, in the Brazilian championship of that season. He scored 21 goals in a short period of four months. Earlier, the previous year, he had been loaned to Fluminense.
In North American football, the 23-year-old striker scored 33 goals, in addition to six assists. South American champion with Brazilian Team under-17, in 2017, the player will have his first experience in Europe.
FC Cincinnati agree to a club-record, multi-million-dollar transfer fee for forward @09brenner.
