He called on the two sides to consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, properly manage differences, jointly address risks and challenges, and build a China-Vietnam community with a shared future to contribute to human peace and progress.

Xi said both countries should continue to arm themselves with the scientific theory of Marxism and work together to advance the cause of socialism.

China and Vietnam need to put people first, enhance the synergy of development strategies and projects, boost infrastructure connectivity and people-to-people exchanges, as well as strengthen people’s understanding of traditional friendship to consolidate public support. for the long-term growth of bilateral relations, Xi said.

He expressed congratulations on the success of the 20th CPC National Congress and China’s “two sessions,” as well as the re-election of General Secretary Xi Jinping as China’s president and chairman of the Central Military Commission. He expressed his confidence that the Chinese people will surely achieve all the goals set at the 20th CPC National Congress and comprehensively build a modern socialist country under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong paid a successful visit to China soon after the conclusion of the 20th CPC National Congress, which injected strong impetus into comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries. Vietnam has always attached the highest priority to developing friendly cooperation with China, adhering to the one-China policy and steadfastly supporting China’s reunification, Truong Thi Mai said.
