Mananthavady: The forest department officials said that the tiger that had been terrorizing the foxes in Wayanad for 20 days has been found. The Wayanad DFO said that it has identified the hiding place of the tiger in the Begur forest area. The DFO also claimed that the tiger could be captured as soon as possible.

The Forest Department’s search today was in the Begur forest area. The assessment was that the tiger had entered the forest after seeing the footprints in the morning. Therefore, all the teams focused on this area.

During the search, officials said the tiger was spotted at close range and escaped with its head cut off from several locations. The DFO said the drugs could not be fired. The search will continue in this area tomorrow as well. The Forest Department will search in groups.

Foresters say the tiger is more likely to be released on Saturday night because it has not been attacked by domestic animals for the past two days. Therefore, the forest department advised the locals to light a fire near the pen, light it and be careful. The forest rangers have decided to intensify patrolling on Saturday night.
